University lecturer Dr Leah Dale has always prided herself on her academic integrity so when final year student Rose, submits a suspiciously top-grade essay, Leah is quick to call her out. But there’s more going on than meets the eye as Rose takes the challenge as a personal affront, and what begins as a seemingly open and shut case of academic deception soon spirals out of control.

It's not extremely clear, but at the end it looks like a dog is killed. It shows someone with a knife calling the dog and grabbing him, then out of frame the dog whimpers. The intention is to kill the owner though, and when the knife is shown right before this happens, it doesn't look covered in blood whatsoever.

a cat is kidnapped and killed, and you can see the owner in distress, searching for her. She's then found on the side of the road, as though it has been a road kill, and there's a glimpse of the body. I'm very sensitive to cats deaths on screen but i manage to go through it by turning the sound off so to not hear the dialogue. The show was worth it. Also knowing it in advance makes it easier because obviously the real cat is fine and a very good actor when purring and being pet on screen :)))

Towards the end of season 1 episode 1, a cat goes missing. Then later in the episode it turns up dead. Not sure if it's graphic as fast forwarded past.
