Anything can turn spooky in this horror anthology series based on the best-selling books by master of kid horror, R.L. Stine. In every episode, see what happens when regular kids find themselves in scary situations, and how they work to confront and overcome their fears.
In Welcome to Dead House, Petey the dog is killed (not shown or heard) and he returns as the living dead. In The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, Vandal the dog is mildly injured by a werewolf and yelps, but he survives. Killer the dog vanishes in It Came from Beneath the Kitchen Sink but he returns and he's okay.
A lot of neglectful parents dismissing their children’s pleas for help. There’s a lot of “Monsters aren’t real” talk, which in a series about monsters, could be considered gaslighting.
A lot of the kids are neglected by their parents, forcing them to deal with the threats themselves. A good majority of the episodes involve the child trying to tell their parents that something is wrong, only to be dismissed.
A rabbit is killed in The Werewolf of Fever Swamp. You don't see it happen but you see its motionless body later. A dead worm is shown pinned for dissection in Go Eat Worms. A dog skeleton is found on a beach in Ghost Beach.
Why is everyone saying no? In night of the living dummy, Slappy vomits all over the whole stadium while performing. It looks super fake and just like green slime but the audio is loud and graphic
