It's intentionally cheesy. Ex, in ep1, a patient explodes but it's clearly a mannakin. There is a lot of fake blood and body parts scattered around tho and the scene lingers on the patient's severed head (which is clearly the actor sticking their head up thru the floor) as the patient talks with the doctor for a few minutes. So like... Very fake, but also gratuitous enough that it might be too much for some ppl.
