Catscratch is an American animated television series created by Doug TenNapel. It was aired on both Nickelodeon and Nicktoons in 2005. It was also shown on Nickelodeon UK / Ireland in 2006. It is a lighthearted adaptation of TenNapel's graphic novel, Gear, which is also the name of the cats' monster truck. The series features music composed by longtime TenNapel collaborator, Terry Scott Taylor. Catscratch's first DVD appearance was on Nick Picks Vol. 3, which came out February 7, 2006.
There is an episode where one of the characters has 24 hours to live, but the results were later revealed to be switched with a schnauzer, and it is implied that the schnauzer died.
In "Lovesick", where Gordon has an allergic reaction to broccoli where he puffs up really bad, gets a huge bloodshot eye, a rash all over his body, razor-sharp teeth and a drooling tongue in his mouth and a huge arm with razor-sharp claws on his paws... This happens again at the end after Kimberly gives him chocolates, which he also is allergic to.
In one episode, one of the cats wants a longer tail because Human Kimberly's friends made fun of him for having a short tail, but at the end of the episode, he wishes for a new tail- for his brother, since the creature had eaten his brother's.
