I’d say it’s more a bittersweet ending. The CW cancelled the show at random in the middle of season four and didn’t give them a chance to properly end the show so they had to turn what was supposed to be the mid season finale into the actual series finale. You can definitely tell it’s not how it was supposed to end but they did their best with the limited notice they were given.

Season 1: August Walker vomits several times in one of the first episodes while at some sort of party. As someone who is super Emetophobic the scene didn’t trigger me at all as it wasn’t very well done. But there was audio and minimal visual. Rest of episodes in season 1 are safe.
Season 2: Dan Davidson vomits into a toilet several times in episode 12. Starts right after Cordell walks off screen at the beginning of the episode. Rest of the episodes are safe.
