Spider-Man is given a bunch of challenges by Taskmaster, one of which requires Spider-Man to save a kidnapping victim from a group of mercenaries silently.

Spider-Man is also given a side quest where he takes on Screwball, a villainous streamer, who tells Spider-Man if he takes part in her challenge, he can save a kidnapping victim. This is a ruse however, as the "victim" is herself.

Police are shown in a good light and often work with Spider-Man, but it's not a central theme. Spider-Man also sometimes portrays a character called "Spider-Cop."

Occasional, brief allusions to sex are made during the game. In the DLC campaign "The Heist", Spider-Man is indirectly stated to have had unprotected sex with Black Cat at some point.
