would not describe it as abuse persay, but the main character is pretty forgiving of the harm done to him by other characters. this is especially apparent in in act 3.
the character who’s viewpoint the series is from sometimes struggles to leave the water due to ladders in video games being sucky, and he’s pushed back in to the water (only once & by accident, i think)
There is no contact, but the main character is *potentially* sexually harassed. He is asked sexual and fetishistic questions, which he complains about, but it’s unclear if he is genuinely disturbed by this.
In the final episode at the end, the boss character's model is distorted and twisted in different ways. While the model isn't exactly photorealistic, I figure it's safe to give a warning anyway :]
no but there is a scene where one of the characters is "crushed" by a self closing door (I say it in quotes bc even though its played somewhat seriously and they "die" after its not graphic and just rp)
in another scene characters briefly talk what it would be like to be crushed by a hydraulic press (nothing of the sort really happens and its played as a joke)
A main plot point (Act: 3 Part 1 at 22:40) Is that the main character gets knocked out, has their arm cut off, and is transported somewhere else. It's not a very intense scene.
Certain areas in the realm of Xen could trigger trypophobia
Also, bullets that hit certain surfaces cause holes to show up, which could also be potentially triggering
there is a fight in act 3 part 2 in which the npcs being fought are all holding needles, but they’re quite hard to see and it’s never mentioned. also, a character is injected with unspecified drugs in act 1 but the needle isn’t shown.
No but the characters are exposed to radiation throughout most of the series and if I'm remembering correctly, the main character does bring up that they all will probably be effected by it.
there are two characters that are commonly interpreted as autistic, but are not canonically autistic. one is called a freak in act 1 part 1, which doesn’t happen again. the other is frequently demonized, but he’s also the villain.
in act 3: part 2 the main character attempts and fails to swim into a turbine while stating he’s going to kill himself. he also states “i’m going to kill myself/shoot myself” at least once before that
no, but around the 9:00 mark in act 3 part 2 gordon screams he's going to kill himself and tries to swim towards a turbine but is unsuccessful and comes out unharmed. the scene happens super fast and is over at around 9:10
Scenes at the beginning and very end feature flashing/twitching lasers. There are also multiple explosions and quick camera changes throughout, which might be triggering when they overlap.
in act 3 part 1 around the 22 minute mark one character states the year the series was made in an ominous voice. in the uncut streams the twitch chat is sometimes addressed but in the videos the viewers are never talked to. at least two characters become aware they are in a video game.
An autistic-coded character is infantilized, and another autistic-coded character is called a freak, insane, and shamed for his “flat” speech and difficulty focusing; All perpetuated by the main character.
There was a big arguement in one of the twitch chats about transphobia because on of the voice actors is transgender. The chat is blurred, thankfully, but its still something to note.
there are two confirmed (by word of god) queer characters, but only one is super apparent in the series. he is quite stereotypically played as a predatory gay man.
there are plenty of scenes in which the characters are underwater and ones where they panic due to being unable to breathe but no harm ever comes directly from this.
The resonance cascade isn't a nuclear explosion, it's a sci-fi dimension opening explosion. It still may be triggering though. (Act: 1 Part: 1 at 10:00)
