A science-fiction drama set in farm country, where—after a decade of famine and food riots—the Mendelian Corporation feeds (and controls) the world through its genetically modified seeds, pitting family members against one another.
Yes, there are quite a lot of gore scenes which include blood, intestines, crushed skulls, pus, gunshot wounds and creatures bursting from inside of humans.
A side character's body is found and the aftermath of her suicide is shown. This is very graphic as the gunshot wound in her head is used as a jumpscare.
During breakfast, one character eats cereal while talking. In another scene, a character very loudly eats pasta, she also bites the spoon and scrapes it against a plate.
The three characters rarely wear anything other than lingerie, swimsuits and shorts. There are long, lingering shots of the women tanning on lounge chairs, lying in bed, dancing, doing "photoshoots" and of course, actual sex scenes. They are seen removing their shirts and showing their bare chests.
The entire film is a cliché "horror" where the female characters are sexualised and the "horror" is just grotesque fetishes.
A character dies off-screen by suicide, this is very graphic. Another character has a gun in his car which he uses to shoot one of the women. A woman later uses thar gun to shoot someone else on the head.
