In the Frost Queen storyline, yes, it is main plot point. But this is a seperate special story unrelated to the main plot of the game, so it can be avoided easily.
Although it's not shown on screen, it is implied that Clotted Cream was abused by his 'father' when he was little and he is still mistreated into his adulthood. This is shown in the odyssey chapter 2 and 3 which are optional to watch
there are censored versions of alcohol (eg. “rye juice” (whiskey), “grape juice” (wine)), and one of the characters, poison mushroom cookie, has special mushrooms that are implied to be drugs.
in stage 11-23, wizard cookie, strawberry cookie, and the other contestants for the princess contest are drugged with “shroom juice”, and they are shown to be suffering from effects.
Vampire Cookie is implied to be drunk, but is never outright shown to be abusing alcohol. Sparkling Cookie will also occasionally pour a glass of champagne as part of his animations, but he does not drink them or get drunk at any point. In world 11 in story mode, strawberry and wizard drink berry juice that alters their judgment, but it's not specifically referred to as alcohol.
Licorice's pet is a skeletal cat/bat creature. Its death is not shown in-game. There are cats as part of some of the buildings (namely Latte and Almond's buildings), but they are unharmed.
in guild battles, your enemy is a large dragon. However, guild battles are optional. This same dragon is also part of the "Beacons of hope" story, which is also optional.
Depends on what you count as restrained. If being trapped in a jar counts, then yes. Otherwise, I'm not sure since I am not finished with the story yet.
yes and no, in a way- the tower storyline takes a grim full look at the idea of sentient cookies as made for consumption by humans. it’s not technically cannibalism but they are sentient and the witches seem to be aware of this, so it may still upset those who don’t wish to see cannibalism.
A good portion of the cast had to escape a witch’s oven where they could of been cooked and eaten. Also, another character is implied to have trauma from being baked so many times
Marking no, but if you do see it as unconsiousness, then by all means. As of the Moonlight release update, one of the status conditions is "asleep," where you literally cannot do anything with a cookie (i.e, special attack) and they can't do anything either (i.e, normal attacks or healing) until waking up. The sprites don't change at all. They just stop moving while Zs fly out of their head, with their icon at the bottom of the screen having a starry overlay until the status effect is over.
a character has a scratch over his eye, apparently rendering him blind in it, as it is perpetually closed. it is generally just shown as a scar, though a costume shows it bandaged with traces of a blood equivalent staining through.
Pure Vanilla intended to sacrifice himself to stop dark enchantress in the prologue, however he doesn't die [SPOILERS!!] He insteads forgets his past life and eventually regains his memories
one of the stories shows a parent being attacked by their child. The parent's fate is unknown, though it's implied they are killed in another event. Another character, who was confirmed to be a mother in the artbook, is also implied to have died during this event.
pumpkin pie cookie, who might be a child, may lament after a failed battle, saying that pompom (magical pumpkin entity who often takes the form of a toy) is "ruined", but that's all, it's not even a story element
Not exactly, but in one the tropical soda island cutscenes, Sparkling cookie makes a gagging noise if you have the English dub turned on. No vomit is shown in the scene.
While it is a joke, a character is shown to refer to themselves and want to be refered as "brute" yet characters and the game call him by his "birthname" if it could be called that. Even though it's not serious it could make someone uncomfortable or sad
really depends on your POV, but many people interpret dark choco cookie to have ptsd + possibly other depressive disorders and he is shown to be violent at some points in the story, though these moments are usually not major plot points
Quite a few of the characters could be interpreted as autistic coded, such as one character who likes plants (a special interest in plants) and seems to relate to plants more than other characters. When a dangerous plant attacks the cookies and village, he seems unaware/misses the cues of it being dangerous. As an autistic person who likes animals he really reminds me of myself and I think he is autistic coded just like me. I think he is portrayed good though.
iirc, Pure Vanilla for sure is seen having a panic attack at at least one point. Strawberry, Onion, Squid ink, Wizard (somewhat), and a few other characters are depicted as anxious in general. Strawberry also describes the trauma of seeing a witch eat a cookie at the beginning of the game.
[spoilers for dark mode]
dark choco cookie is implied to have ptsd due to his traumatizing past. this is further shown when he has a panic attack during dark mode.
The character Milk Cookie bears a slight resemblance to crusaders. While this was likely not intentional, it has made some jewish fans uncomfortable. The game also contains goblins as enemies, and they have similar attributes to antisemetic caricatures (Such as green skin and being greedy)
In the hollyberry kingdom story, a male character dresses like a princess in order to enter a competition. However, this isn't played for laughs or shown as disturbing or weird. There is a bit of a joke about him getting very into the role of a princess, but it's still respected.
yes and no; there are lgbtq characters (sea fairy, crepe, devil, angel, squink, sorbet, possibly milk, and many others) and they can die in gameplay. however they do not die in the storyline at the time that im typing this
If Purple Yam Cookie who is black “dies” in battle, yes, but he does not temporarily die and when the battle is over he’s alive and well and will roam around the kingdom and talk to other Cookies.
It is shown/heavily implied that pastry cookie is in a cult, in my opinion it has similarities to Christianity, evangelism, or even Islam, though I wouldn't say it was directly inspired by any in particular
