The main character is frequently harmed during his fights with the bosses like if he fails a quick-time event. Also, if the main character loses one of his lives, a couple bosses will treat him roughly when moving his unconscious form. The game opens up to the main character's guard/torturer electrocuting, punching, and verbally degrading him. Also, one of the bosses dies off-screen to a pit of electricity. You cant see the boss die but you can hear her scream and you can see electrical currents come out of the pit she was pushed in.
