there is in fact a dog in this movie, we see him in the very beginning, but nothing bad happens. his owner hides him in a closet when she thinks they may be in danger, so it's implied that he's well cared for. he's not shown for the rest of the movie.
a character's boyfriend grabs her butt while they are making out. this slightly upsets the girlfriend, who tells him to stop and that they've talked about that before.
Not in the typical sense, but young teens are bullied by other young teens; in one case it's so bad that it constitutes torture. Also, we see dead/reanimated children with their eyes removed.
There may be one or more lightning-fast flashbacks to someone being or having been hanged centuries before; I'm not sure, since there were so many split-second images in the flashback montages. Otherwise, no. However, there's a pretty long scene in which someone is lifted up enough for her heels to leave the ground, with a rope that goes under her arms (I believe) and over a high-sitting tree branch, and the crazy-mean bullies who are doing it talk menacingly about the person who was hanged there long ago, so... it's a hanging-adjacent scene, so to speak.
It's not the ankle, but the shin. It breaks badly enough for a big part of it to come out through the skin on the side of the leg. It happens around 59 minutes in. ... The part of the bone sticking out is pushed back in a little later (around 1h 4m, just after a JVC player is mentioned); we see it being done pretty close up, and it's nasty.
SPOILER: right at the beginning of the "story" inside the film, there's a scene in which a couple of teenagers hunt a girl, tie her up and burn her arm with a lighter. Pretty intense scene overall. Later in the film, there's also a scene in which a girl is trapped in an outhouse with a lot of bugs and big spiders, that she seems to be afraid of.
No, but there are reanimated corpses... Seen out of context (like, if you only saw a few seconds of the movie), they might as well be alive. I mean, they look horrible, scary, dirty and more or less bloody, but they don't seem to be decomposed/decomposing, and they move pretty normally.
Someone is locked in a pretty small shed (with a handful of bathroom stalls in it) and stays there for a long time, maybe hours. We only see her alone in there briefly. ... Also, two characters walk around in a spooky tunnel system underground for about the same amount of time, trying to find a way out; however, the tunnels aren't narrow or low-ceilinged. Furthermore, someone hides from a killer in a pretty small storage room.
No, but while talking about a time when she very nearly died, but was saved with CPR, a woman says that she sometimes wishes she hadn't been saved. Such thoughts are akin/related to suicidal ideations, I think. At least they are in my case.
ambiguous ending -- this is the second movie in a trilogy. I guess it is sad because SPOILER many people are murdered, but that's also part of the plot so it was expected.
