In Ireland, 1952, after the death of her husband, Nora does her best to put food on the table for her children. She hopes to sell her artwork to the church. Reality, however, has other plans and shatters her beliefs and way of life. Can a silent act of kindness be enough to keep her going for the sake of her little ones? Or is this the beginning of her downfall? A compelling tale of a woman's courage through hardship.

Nothing is shown. The dog runs off into the woods and down a tunnel. An evil doppelgänger returns and is last seen in the van when it crashes. It's death isn't shown, either. The last reference to the dog is at the end when a character finds its collar hanging from a tree. But there is never a body shown, and you don't really hear it in distress.
