one of the main characters is yelled at by his (excuse of a) father in the 4th volume, it is implied his father is very passively homophobic at home as this character internalizes this homophobia.

Kind of. It depends what you deem as man in a dress jokes but one of the characters regularly cross-dresses as he is unsure of his gender identity, whether comments there are deemed as man in a dress jokes are wishy washy but ultimately I would say no

[SPOILERS] Technically, yeah, but it's handled in a very sensitive way that you wouldn't expect from the usual "bury your gays" trope. One partner of an elderly gay couple passes away, but his life is openly celebrated by lots of people who loved him, and it's made clear he lived a full and happy life.
