There are occasional moments emulating the motion of shakey cameras as most episode scenarios involve Patrick and Squidina trying to produce "The Patrick Show". Usually seen when a shot is in the POV of a camera. This also appears in the intro sequence when Patrick takes the camera, shakes it around and points it at Squidina to introduce her.

There are cartoonish decapitations in the head on some occasions, inflicted towards Patrick on occasion. There is also a barbaric version of Patrick named "Pat the Hapless" who constantly chops off the heads of others. No disturbing imagery is shown unlike what was in the original series as the slapstick is closer to that of an older era cartoon. Played for laughs and nobody dies.

Aside from the occasional nuclear footage gags that were known in the original SpongeBob series, there is also a storyline depicting nuclear testing sites in the segment "Who's a Big Boy?". Patrick travels back in time to the 1940s where he ends up in a "knuclear testing area." While he escaped, the effects of the knuclear particles cause him to grow extremely large.

The Patrick Star Show constantly bounces off of cartoon logic even more than its original series counterpart. Aside from the meta style of humor, the scenarios are wackier, contain more slapstick and are more unexplainable. Time travel happens constantly, randomly timed gags happen and the setting is not bound by any groundness or realism that SpongeBob was previously known for, so reality and rules constantly shift episode by episode.
