Living in Sin: Inside a Religious Reform School
Movie • 2019
ReportAt a religious reform school in Indiana, several former students share their heart-wrenching stories of what they allege to be physical and emotional mistreatment. But those who run the school, and another former student, say that what happened there is just the strict structure and discipline common to similar schools for troubled teens.

I’d say yes, as the tween/teen girls are required to dress “modestly,” implying there is something inherently sexual about their bodies.

Cries for help (such as running away) are met with punishment. Presumably unwell children are religiously, physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually abused, sometimes under the guise of “treatment.”

It’s a boarding school for “rebellious” girls, but I would count it. Several traumatized (and some potentially mentally ill) girls are held involuntarily, and are subjected to abusive “treatments.”

I think it qualifies. It’s implied that some of the girls’ parents didn’t fully understand (and therefore couldn’t consent) to how their daughters were treated; Of course, some of the girls didn’t want to go to the boarding school, which one could argue is kidnapping regardless of parental consent.
