There is a random event where the player will wake up from sleep with the "panic" effect and there is a chance a zombie will be in the room with them. No human will attempt to watch you, unless you choose to play online
No, however there is an event where a helicopter will follow you around if it spots you, and it can leave and reappear multiple times. The point of this event is to challenge the player by calling zombies to your location, and it is not meant to be viewed as stalking
As of build 41, you can hunt for rabbits, squirrels, birds, etc. via trapping, and you can find dead mice and rats in containers. They're only visible as items, and are not animated. I will update this once the animal update releases.
It all depends on what you do, or what the people you play with do. This game has no storyline aside from the occasional radio broadcast talking about how bad the event is getting.
Very frequently since Zombies can pop up out of nowhere or behind a door, along with an audio jumpscare indicator. There are mods you can download to get rid of the sounds and lessen the jumpscare elements.
The player can attempt suicide by taking too many sleeping pills (being drunk lowers the amount of pills needed) or by drinking bleach. This is optional and based on the players actions, but it is possible to accidentally stumble across so it's worth keeping in mind if it is triggering
Your character will make drinking and eating noises and there is repetitive ambient noise such as animals in the forest or zombies groaning which may be distressing. There is an "ambient volume" slider in the settings, however being able to hear noises such as helicopters, zombies breaking down your door, or footsteps is an important aspect of survival.
No, but your character can gain the "panic" moodlet if near zombies or if they have the optional phobia debuffs. High levels of panic prevents sleeping and lowers accuracy.
If you get bit or scratched by a zombie it is possible that you will become infected. As of build 42 there is no way to survive a zombie infection, however you can turn off the infection entirely in the sandbox settings before starting a new game.
There are traits you can choose for your character such as asthmatic, but it only affect stats (in the case of asthma, faster endurance loss) and are not "realistic" in their depiction.
