A group of people live in an underground cavern that an antagonist is trying to collapse, and you can see some destroyed homes and at least one building that falls while someone is inside

Seru possessing humans is a major plot point. Several major villains are revealed to be possessed (and at least one major villain is assumed to be possessed, but actually completely in control and just evil to begin with).

A trio of villains attempt to perform a suicide bombing that the heroes have to thwart. There is also a lategame instance of NPCs instructing the heroes to do something that the NPCs know will result in their own deaths, performing an indirect suicide which deeply traumatizes one of the main characters.
