Report
A fifteen-episode television series based on the novel by Teresa Lubkiewicz-Urbanowicz. The film presents the dramatic fate of Maria Jurewiczówna and her family, residents of Vilnius at the beginning of the 20th century. The authors vividly and colorfully depict the customary landscape of those parts: run-down manor houses, impoverished, lukewarm noblemen and their rich, bourgeois relatives, farm workers and farm maids, and finally all kinds of misfits: various haunted and philosophers, quacks and buyers, but also normal, but "born differently", just like the main character, still rejected, ridiculed and unloved.
