When a Sumatran rat-monkey bites Lionel Cosgrove's mother, she's transformed into a zombie and begins killing (and transforming) the entire town while Lionel races to keep things under control.
Partial (99%?) decapitation for one of the zombies and this plays a major gag through the movie. A zombie gets his head ripped off his body with a kick and I think there's other ways it happens that I cannot remember at the moment.
The mom uses Infantilization, emotional manipulation & Gaslighting to control the protagonist's life. It is clear that she also neglects him and his emotional needs prioritizing her own. Physical and/or verbal abuse might be implied.
No but an unsavory character does try in the last third of the movie. Nothing graphic is shown; all we see is him trying and then when we come back he's covering his crotch and clearly she fended him off.
A woman is dragged out of a party by her hair into a room with the intent to sexually assault her. The attempt is brief and mostly off-camera and she fights him off easily, but has to interact with him afterwards.
The protagonist gets choked (almost to death) several times throughout the movie (poor guy 💔) and one of the secondary characters struggles to breathe due to a... unusual blockage (cannot specify, spoilers)
there arent exactly incestuous relationships but the main character's relationship with his mother gets a little freudian with the imagery near the end, and she says stuff like "no one will love you like your mother", it gets really weird with it. he's not into it but it does give the vibe of some vaguely incestuous abuse that probably would be triggering to anyone sensitive to that.
