there is an assault scene in episode 5, around 30 minutes in, in which someone is forced to kiss the person against their will, and it’s clear that it would have gone further but is cut off — what I found equally disturbing was the narrative treatment of the instance as a romantic moment rather than a violation. at no point is it given the gravity it deserves

Not necessarily squashed, but in ep 4 multiple people are shown to have (please stop reading if squeamish) their brains explode. It is extremely graphic, I had to cover my screen.

A scene where characters faces are burned is pretty extensive. There is an episode where *SPOILERS* the umbrella academy’s mothers dying and its very graphic — it looks like the life is being sucked out of them and blood comes out of several places of their face

Not really burned alive, but characters’ faces are badly burned in an explosion and they die, either from the fire or from the force

Harlan is coded as autistic. As with season 2, he is abused for this. In flashbacks he is seen being physically assaulted at school. In this season, his nonspeaking identity is erased, which saddened me. Every time he has an autistic meltdown, his powers are triggered and others (and himself) are hurt. Extremely high pitched noises are played when he is in sensory overload to show an allistic audience what being autistic might feel like to them, but this of course, makes it incredibly triggering to an autistic audience. I (an autistic) personally couldn't handle some of those scenes and had to skip. If the captions say "feedback" try to plug your ears immediately if sensory sensitive. Ep5 Viktor withholds a sensory accommodation from Harlan for information. Ep5 the umbrellas label him as dangerous and violent and discuss killing him because of his meltdowns. SPOILERS - Ep 6 Alison continually makes distasteful comments towards Harlan about his Autistic behavior (ex. stimming by listening to music). It's revealed to Alison that Harlan's meltdown unintentionally killed the umbrella's parents. She then murders him in cold blood. END OF SPOILERS. It's incredibly stigmatizing and triggering for Autistics. WARNING - Alison is incredibly anti-autistic this season.

S3E4 10:55-11:50 Allison uses her powers on herself while looking in the mirror, she says "I heard a rumor that you were happy" and it appears to be extremely painful, she is struggling to say it and crying out while it happens. She then punches the mirror which causes her knuckles to bleed. She picks up a piece of glass but does NOT use it to hurt herself, she uses it to cut her hair. All of this seems to be her punishing herself. 11:55 She also hides her bloody knuckles from her brother Viktor when he asks about it. It's hard to watch and I found it to be moderately triggering.

e5 — around 6 minutes Allison wakes up into a panic attack like state but immediately receives comfort and calms down quickly 21:30 Allison again experiences symptoms of a panic attack, rapid shallow breathing is the extent of what is shown but it was mildly triggering for me both times

Ep1 5.40 when the dust goes through the vent next scene is flashing. They put a warning at the beginning of the season, so it's safe to assume the whole season will be full of it.

Ep1 3.40 min brief xenophobia to shop owners. In later episodes, Allison struggles with PTSD flashbacks to her time in the 60s where she was violently discriminated against for being black, and these are shown onscreen.

Some implied, but there is a fake sex scene as part of a play explaining the grandfather paradox. You can only see one person’s chest (no nudity) and face, but there are sounds that I found mildly triggering

And lots of it. If you are really sensitive to this, season three might not be something you can watch.
