Sort of yes and no, because Meow isn't actually a cat he's an anthro alien that shares a few features of one (A bit axolotl-ish too) and is referred to despite constantly correcting he's a betelgeusian. Characters kind of die in multiple episodes but come back later, him included. Episode 3 can be particularly unsettling though for it with how it's set up. I'd recommend looking him up, and maybe watching his first appearance to get an idea for what you can handle. (As someone highly triggered by this particular trigger, I can handle it okay myself with just a bit of skipping here and there)
