not is a sexual way but WX-78 is canonicly non-binary. but also a "KILL ALL HUMANS" type robot. however this is more so played for laughs and the rest of the cast gets along with them perfectly fine
if players stand still they can be fed by other players. this includes mushrooms that lower your sanity. Wormwood can also unlock a skill that lets him make what is basicly a hyper potent laxative that he can feed to pigmen or beefalo to get a lot of poop to use as fertilizer
The character Wanda ages at a very accelerated rate and will evetualy die if you don't use her clocks to reverse it. however the process is still incredibly slow and is very easily avoided
Wanda suffers from a condition that ages her rapidly (one year every 40 seconds in game) and has to use a magic watch to stop her from dying of old age
not a real or usual chronic illness but it is pretty similar
the player can break anicent statues and is encouraged to do so to optain items that are hard to find elsewere. they can also be destroyed by some enemys
You can fall asleep if hit by a sleep dart or attacked by gestalts while your "enlightenment" meter is high. If you drown the screen will go black briefly and you will wake up on shore.
It's a survival game, and hunting or trapping animals is one method of obtaining food. Even if you try to avoid killing animals, some of them will attack each other (and some of them will attack you).
There are some friendly or neutral creatures which can die (Glommer, domesticated Beefalo, Chester), though generally they respawn. There are also pets which follow the player around and can't die.
The Ewecus (a giant sheep that looks like a gross grandma) can shot snot balls at the player that restrains them for a little while (your character is show visibly detested at the situation)
the game does not give any meat a specific source so any creature that can eat meat can eat any meat even if its cannibalism. however human to human cannibalism is not in the game
Wormwood (a walking humanoid plant) can make living logs by growing them and choping them off in exchange for health
WX-78 (a robot) has an idle animation where one of his arms falls off but they quickly reattach it
Woodie a lumberjack has a talking axe wife named Lucy. but can also use the Shadow Maul (also talking axe(but this time made of shadows)). the SM has exclusive dialog when used by Woodie that sounds very homewrecker like
however Woodie does lose sanity every time he uses the axe implying he realy does not want to cheat
after the player activates Lunar Rifts (done by giving Wagstaff a Enlightend Shard or by chaging world settings) three bosses (Deerclops, Bearger, and Vargs) will have their corpses possessed by Gestalts after killing them
The Ewecus (a giant sheep that looks like a gross grandma) can spit snot balls at the player that restrains them for a little while (your character is shown visibly destrested at the situation)
When your sanity is low you will hallucinate eyes in the darkness as well as "shadow creatures". Once your sanity is low enough these creatures will become "real" and start attacking you.
There are many repetitive ambient noises such as bird chirping, campfires crackling, footsteps, and spiders hissing. There is an eating noise however it is not that graphic and very short. Audio can be turned down/off in the settings and it won't effect gameplay in any major way.
all characters can be turned into monkeys by picking up to many cursed trinkets. this for some reason does not reduce sanity and can be easly removed by giving bananas to the "Queen of Moon Quay"
Characters can comment on almost every item in the game and occasionally break the fourth wall, saying things such as "must be game logic" or "It's a rock, what do you not get?". This is not a major theme in the game.
