not explicitly by that word.. however, the following scene and dialogue would definitely be triggering to those who are sensitive to mentions so I strongly recommend skipping this scene. it’s at the end of the episode.
TW: at one point a character brings out a laptop and plays a (real) interview clip of a real life serial killer. it’s not an actor for this fictional series, it’s real. in the interview he says that he killed his mother and “humiliated her corpse.” then (serious trigger warning for the next line, do not read if you’re sensitive to this topic) the fictional character says in very rough language that the serial killer postmortem r*ed his mother’s head.

Sam's father beat him when he was a kid. Adult Sam decides the best way to deal with his trauma is to kill his dad. He draws inspiration from real-life serial killer Ed Kemper, who killed his abusive mother. An interview of Kemper is shown where he discusses murdering his mom, so there's that, too.

I wouldn’t call it excessive but Alan does fantasise about stabbing Sam a few times and there is a fair amount of blood spray. In episode 7 I think, the fantasies escalate to include Sam getting shot in the head by the police. It happens very suddenly with not much warning and is pretty graphic.

From my perspective the main character has memory sequences and PTSD/grief related visions but not ghosts in the supernatural sense of apparitions.

So far the entire show is safe 1-6. Episode 7 is also safe. Episode 9 is also safe, and the best episode thus far.
