The story of an inner-city Los Angeles police precinct where some of the cops aren't above breaking the rules or working against their associates to both keep the streets safe and their self-interests intact.
This tv show contains 23 potentially triggering events.
A character is assaulted and people make jokey remarcs about that (the show doesn't play the assault as a joke, but rather shows the others as downright Evil)
In season 1, episode 12, there are graphic depictions of cock (rooster) fighting. I would suggest watching the recap in ep 13 or reading the main story beats on the wiki and skipping this one if animal abuse is a trigger for you.
In season two of the show, a child is asaulted off screen, we only see the aftermath of the matter. In three there is an extended and rather horrifying scene where a mayor character is abused by two junkies.
Kind of a mixed bag here. Altho this is a cop show, the main focus is on the corruption and deceive on the police department. Almost all the characters end up involved in some form of corruption or acting in very questionable manners. However, some characters try to stay away from that world and never get involved in dirty deeds, but basically everyone ends up with their hands dirty in one way or another.
