The permanence of awareness and the transient nature of ego. An external look into an internal awakening. The stark realization, the sudden death, and the everlasting peace.
At about thirty minutes, the neighbour's dog barks too much, so the strange bird creature goes nd probably kills it. We hear it from afar and then the little girl is waken up by the bird, who has brought her the beheaded corpse of the dog in her bed.
Several times. And the creature wants to be fed so Tinja does as mother birds do : she vomits then feds the creature with it. Very noisy too even if you don't look at it
No but, at some point the creature has become more human, still with some things left from the bird, so it looks like a little girl but with a mouth without skin, teeth outside.
Then it screams a lot and rips off its cheeks, and we see it like this till the end
The daughter surprises her mother making out with another man. The mother then talks to her, she seems to completely assume the cheating, saying she's in love etc.
Then it is shown that even the father has been knowing from some time and tries to make the best of it
A bird's neck is broken in the very beginning.
The creature also changes a lot so it always makes some cracking noises. At some point not far from the end of the movie it makes its bones crack a lot
Right after the beginning a raven bumps into the window, then enters the living room. It flies everywhere causing multiple glass objects to break. The daughter captures it gently by throwing a piece of clothe on it but then the mother kills the raven, breaking its neck through the cloth. Then we see the corpse in the trash can.
But it's not over.
A few minutes later in the movie, the young girl hears some noises from outside. When she goes and checks inside the trashcan the bird has disappeared. She follows the sound of its scream and find it hurt, in the forest. She tries to help it but the bird cannot move so she has to finish it by hitting its head with a rock, several times, it's quite painful to watch.
