There are mutilated corpses around the hotel during the game. At one point Professor Chahal's head is replaced with a mannequins and you must rip it off.

There are no traditional "screamer" jumpscares, but there are quiet/peaceful scenes followed by sudden violence, gore, and suspenseful music. This happens most often accompanied by the screen flashing white/red, or after moving through a doorway/scene change

One of the puzzles include Trilby having to get past large insects crawling on the floor. If you walk too close to them they will swarm Trilby and give you a game over screen

John Defoe is a child who was locked up, abused, and beaten to death by his father. There is a scene depicting this when Trilby looks at the painting in the reception area of the hotel and has a "flashback", and it is mandatory to progress in the game.

Large parts of the game have unintelligible whispers in the background ambience which may trigger misophonia or sensory overloads

Sort of. John Defoe is a villain in the Chzo Mythos series and he was abused by his father, however we don't see John Defoe as an antagonist in Trilby's Notes, and he is only mentioned briefly. He is the main antagonist of 5 Days a Stranger and 7 Days a Skeptic.

Trilby and the other characters from the first game "5 Days A Stranger" are haunted by a ghost which may elicit similar feelings to being stalked

A large aspect of the game includes Trilby taking tranquilizers to calm down when stressed
