SPOILERS: A woman flirts and sleeps with a man to try to gain support and access to funds. She's uncomfortable afterwards and wants to bathe. People make comments and ask her where she was all night. Later there's a rumor that she's a prostitute. On another occasion, the man approaches her, kisses her, and pushes her dress strap down her shoulder. He continues kissing her when she doesn't consent, then cusses and leaves when she asks him to leave.
In the first 30 seconds of the episode, in a black-and-white silent picture style intro, a man is stabbed in the hand. The hand is shown full screen, in black-and-white, with with the knife and blood. It's mentioned again at 15:38
An extramarital relationship occurs, it's unclear if the person being "cheated on" has given consent or not. Also it's technically unclear how the person identifies, bisexual or other.
SPOILERS version: A male character has romantic engagements with another male character despite the fact that he has a wife, but later says the wife knows about his sexuality. Unclear if she knows about or is open to extramarital engagements.
Yes it's a show about people, mostly Jewish people, trying to flee WWII, escape extradition, etc. So far (I'm onS1E2) none of the characters themselves have said direct hate speech, but police capture refugees to extradite to Germany and refer to them as illegals/criminals, antisemitic speech is repeated in stories of things that have happened, and Jewish people recount the stories of what happened to their families, etc.
S1E1 A character lights something under a glass, and when smoke collects in the glass they inhale it. S1E2 Spoiler: A character has taken morphine, other characters fear they are dead for a moment. Later in the episode, they do die from it.
