Report
Pippin is a 1972 musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse, who directed the original Broadway production, also contributed to the libretto. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance. In 1981, a stage production of Pippin was videotaped for Canadian television. The stage production was directed by Kathryn Doby, Bob Fosse's dance captain for the original Broadway production, and David Sheehan directed the video adaptation, with Roger O. Hirson in charge of the music. Ben Vereen returned for the role of Leading Player, while William Katt played the role of Pippin. However, this version was a truncated adaptation and several sections of the play were cut.

As stated here, they try to get him to and there is a fake trick where a dummy is burned alive.

The song Glory is a musical battle scene, in which a wounded soldier crawls offstage, many are killed during "The Manson Trio", and various dismembered body parts are thrown into the stage.

Reference made but no onstage hanging. Rope is placed around necks of those who are hung off stage

The cast is comprised entirely of Creepy Clowns (of course the actors who don't have big parts wear clown make-up, and they do have a creepy motivation)

With You has choreography suggesting an orgy, and later Pippin and Katherine have sex twice by going under the covers while dancers imply how good it is. Nothing explicit and no nudity

A mother and son have suggestive choreography (it is Bob Fosse), in "Spread a Little Sunshine" Though it is a play within a play, so there is some distance.

There is a war sequence where body parts are thrown. It is in a comedic way however. Bloody but not gore ish. Also pippin does talk to a dismembered head.
